ശ്രീഭഗവാനുവാച | ഊര്ധ്വമൂലമധഃശാഖമശ്വത്ഥം പ്രാഹുരവ്യയമ് | ഛന്ദാംസി യസ്യ പര്ണാനി യസ്തം വേദ സ വേദവിത് ||൧൫-൧||
Transliteration
śrībhagavānuvāca . ūrdhvamūlamadhaḥśākhamaśvatthaṃ prāhuravyayam . chandāṃsi yasya parṇāni yastaṃ veda sa vedavit ||15-1||
Meanings
15.1 The Lord said They speak of an immutable Asvattha tree with its roots above and branches below. Its leaves are the Vedas. He who knows it knows the Vedas. - Adi
