ஊர்த்வம் கச்சந்தி ஸத்த்வஸ்தா மத்யே திஷ்டந்தி ராஜஸாஃ | ஜகந்யகுணவ்ரு'த்திஸ்தா அதோ கச்சந்தி தாமஸாஃ ||௧௪-௧௮||
Transliteration
ūrdhvaṃ gacchanti sattvasthā madhye tiṣṭhanti rājasāḥ . jaghanyaguṇavṛttisthā adho gacchanti tāmasāḥ ||14-18||
Meanings
14.18 Those who rest in Sattva rise upwards; those who abide in Rajas remain in the middle; and those, abiding in the tendencies of Tamas go downwards. - Adi
