న హి ప్రపశ్యామి మమాపనుద్యాద్ యచ్ఛోకముచ్ఛోషణమిన్ద్రియాణామ్ | అవాప్య భూమావసపత్నమృద్ధం రాజ్యం సురాణామపి చాధిపత్యమ్ ||౨-౮||
Transliteration
na hi prapaśyāmi mamāpanudyād yacchokamucchoṣaṇamindriyāṇām . avāpya bhūmāvasapatnamṛddhaṃ rājyaṃ surāṇāmapi cādhipatyam ||2-8||
Meanings
2.8 Even if I should win unchallenged sovereignty of a prosperous earth or even the kingdom on lordship over the Devas, I do not feel that it would dispel the grief than withers up my senses. - Adi
